3 projects:
1) Handknit Dress Made of Louet Euroflax Linen, color Caribou. Pattern "Liesl" by Cocoknits.com, work by my tiny tiny fingers in less than a month. I bow down to the Louet gods for creating machine washable and dryable materials. Seriously, it makes blocking so easy and I can wear stuff so much quicker! --sold customer-- hehe. NEXT TIME however, I will be omitting the pockets. Or actually, there's another tunic I want to try from Whit's Knits at the Purl Bee blog.
2) An Italian cotton/cashmere tri-strand yarn overlay dress made from a Rebecca pattern.
Yarn imported from Italy, no manufacturer listed. I got it from the Karabelle retailer in the garment district (In NYC). That place is fabulous for getting really weird and random yarns, as well as yarns on cones for machine knitting (bonus bonus bonus!)
It is unblocked and I might possibly rip out the top 1/2 and redo it so it works better as an overlay. It looks okay on, but the arm holes are enormous and it feels kinda silly to wear. It's meant to be a beachy thing which makes the style reasonable for basically only that. I'd say I made a mistake, but my measurements are dead on. But hey, this is what I get for experimentation and I can live with that! :)
3) I just started the Whit's Knits: Linen Tunic from The Purl Bee this week (July 15, 2011). It's in Louet's Euroflax Linen (becoming a favorite yarn of mine) and it'll be in the French Blue (pictured on the site).
